1. Who we are

Khosman Dreads is a dreadlock salon at 161 Long Street, Cape Town, South Africa. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It is written to align with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

In POPIA terms we are the responsible party for the information described below.

2. What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us. If you complete the booking form on this website, that is:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• The service you are interested in
• Your preferred date and time
• Anything you add in the notes field

We do not run advertising trackers on this website, and we do not sell your information to anyone.

3. How the booking form works

This is important, so please read it before using the form.

The booking form does not send your details to a database of ours. When you submit it, your browser opens WhatsApp with the details you entered pre-filled as a message. Nothing reaches us until you press send in WhatsApp.

This means the message travels through WhatsApp, and WhatsApp's own privacy terms apply to it. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, you are welcome to call us on 063 453 1016 or visit the salon instead.

4. Why we use your information

• To respond to your booking request and confirm an appointment
• To contact you if we need to change or confirm a time
• To understand what service you need so we can set aside enough time
• To keep basic records of appointments and treatments

We will not send you marketing messages unless you have asked us to.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only where we have to:

• WhatsApp (Meta) — carries your booking message, as described above
• Google Fonts — this website loads fonts from Google, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads
• Law enforcement or regulators — only where we are legally required to

6. How long we keep it

We keep appointment records only as long as we need them to run the salon and meet any legal or tax obligations. You may ask us to delete your details at any time, and we will do so unless the law requires us to keep them.

7. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or out of date
• Ask us to delete your information
• Object to us using your information
• Withdraw consent you gave us earlier
• Complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No website or messaging service can promise perfect security, so please avoid sending us sensitive information such as ID numbers or banking details through the booking form or WhatsApp.

9. Children

We happily work with younger clients, but if you are under 18 a parent or guardian should make the booking and give consent on your behalf.

10. Cookies

This website does not set its own cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
